Q1 2025: Silverflow product updates
Welcome to your quarterly update on the latest and greatest product updates from Silverflow. Find out what's new and see what Silverflow can now offer you!
We've launched cash back on PoS
Silverflow have been adding to our PoS capabilities and can now confirm cash back is available for our POS integrated clients. Cash back at the point of sale (PoS) basically acts as a mini-ATM built right into the shopping experience, and can be a requirement in certain PoS markets.
Some key benefits of cash back at PoS include saving customers an extra trip to the ATM, if they need cash, and helps stores reduce their cash handling costs. For merchants, it's a win-win: happy customers and reduced cash management costs. For shoppers, it's convenient banking built right into their regular shopping routine. Contact your account management team for more details.
We're live with Mastercard Early Detect Insights (MEDI) Program Compliant Monitoring on our Acquirer Portal
Silverflow's Acquirer Portal is now compliant with Mastercard's Standards for Authorization Data Insights (AN 7670), providing all the required insights in real time. As a result, Silverflow clients can now opt out from the Mastercard Early Detect Insights (MEDI) Product which is billed monthly by default to all acquirers within the scope of the standard (billing ID 2II1001(S)/ TII1001(S)).
If you require support in attesting compliance with the standard please reach out to your Account Manager or Technical Account Manager.
Updated Docs, Guides and deprecation of Beta Tag on Silverflow Docs
“Beta” is widely known to represent feature-complete but not yet stable software. Of course not everyone uses it this way, however anecdotally, most people do. At Silverflow, Beta is also known to mean software that could be “Alpha”. This sometimes can cause confusion with clients as to the true state of an endpoint or feature that is released by Silverflow.
We aim to solve this in the coming months, by deprecating the Beta tag from our API docs. We will be replacing this with a new tagging system and improved guide docs on our software and feature release processes. Please look out for an update from your account manager and technical manager on this key change in the coming months.
Silverflow Strengthens 3DS Authentication with New PCI Certification
We're excited to share another milestone in our commitment to secure payments processing. Building on our previous 3DS enhancements and certifications, Silverflow has re-certified our Mastercard 3DS Server provider license. This re-certification complements our existing EMV Certifications, creating a comprehensive authentication solution that meets the highest industry standards.
Silverflow's platform now offers:
Full PCI-compliant 3DS authentication (as a standalone service or as part of your authorisation processing with Silverflow)
Continued support for 3RI (3DS authentication without shopper presence
Multi-scheme compatibility across three major card networks (Amex also coming soon)
Seamless integration through a single endpoint
What does this mean for our clients? Enhanced security, continued liability shift benefits, and the flexibility to use our 3DS authentication services independently of payment processing. Whether you're handling recurring payments, managing cross-border transactions, or implementing new authentication flows, our certified platform ensures you're covered.

We've embraced the Network Tokenisation Revolution
Did you know that today, around one in four Mastercard transactions globally are tokenized, and this is accelerating by 50% year over year (Mastercard). This rapid adoption is due to tokens being proved effective in reducing e-commerce fraud while at the same time improving approval rates. Network Tokenisation can improve approval rates by upto 3% also say Mastercard. Tokens reduce the security burden on merchants, payment service providers and banks, and increase confidence in the digital economy for everyone.
To help you and your merchants quickly adopt Network Tokens, Silverflow offer Network Token support which enables clients to have fast integration, without the need of additional integration projects directly with the card networks. Our functionality works stand-alone also (meaning you can start off with Silverflow just as your tokenisation partner) and we provide all data that you need in order to process multiple payment flows including recurring payments - irrespective of whether you process the actual payment transaction through us or not. Other key innovations introduced by the card networks such as delegated authentication and Click 2 Pay work on network token infrastructure. For more information, please reach out to your account management team.
Silverflow Expands Payouts & Funding Product Capabilities
Silverflow has expanded its Visa Direct and Mastercard Moneysend payouts and funding capabilities in the past three months. We now offer 5 different payout use cases, including the newly introduced Liquid Assets Visa Direct use case, and 3 different funding use cases.
This expanded functionality enables Silverflow's acquirers to support various financial pay-in and pay-out flows for their merchants, and remain at the cutting edge of card payment use case innovations. For more information, please reach out to your account management team to discuss your funding and payout requirements.
