Q3 2024: Silverflow product updates
Welcome to your quarterly update on the latest and greatest product updates from Silverflow. Find out what's new and see what Silverflow can now offer you!
New Feature to Retrieve Reports in CSV from the Silverflow Acquirer Portal
Silverflow Portal now allows users to download CSV reports for a date range of choice. Reports currently supported are Charges, Reconciliation Details, Network Funds Transfers, Fraud Notifications, Disputes, and Scheme Fees. Use of this feature requires additional permissions for the user - "portal:Reports:All" permission allows read and write access to the Reports section (i.e. user can generate new reports), whereas "portal:Reports:Read" allows only read access to the Reports section (i.e. user can download previously generated reports but not generate any new reports). This feature is new and we appreciate feedback.
Silverflow.com API Regional Endpoints Will Now be Primary
Silverflow is expanding to process in multiple regions, so we have added regional endpoints for each region. Regional endpoints are on the silverflow.com domain, whereas the original Silverflow API endpoint is on the silverflow.co domain. This original endpoint is an alias for the regional endpoint of the Ireland (eu-west-1) region, as that is the region where the Silverflow platform launched. The alias will remain in place for the foreseeable future, so migrating to the regional endpoint is advised but not required at this time.
With this change, we are signaling our commitment to our multi-region approach. Silverflow processing regions are independent, and all the data created there remains there. This ensures Silverflow is compliant with any data localisation regulations.
Adding the region name to each API endpoint clarifies which region you are connecting with. The naming scheme for regional endpoints is https://<region>.api.silverflow.com/v1, and at the time of writing, two regions are active: eu-west-1 (Ireland) and us-east-2 (Ohio). As more regions roll out, we'll notify you.
New and Coming Soon
American Express is now ready for acquirers to integrate into and process on the Silverflow platform. You will need to bring your Amex acquirer credentials and make some simple updates to your API towards Silverflow. Currently, we only support eCom for Amex, with POS support scheduled for early 2025.
MasterCard MoneySend and Visa Direct Enable fast money movement to cards, accounts, and wallets through a single connection with Silverflow. We're adding Person-to-Person Payment Transfer & Money Transfer use cases to name a few.
Contact your account manager to discuss our full roadmap of MoneySend and Visa Direct.
Updates to our QMR Downloadable reports - you asked, and we listened
We will soon release our new Quarterly Scheme Reporting (QSR) for Visa and Mastercard! The new format is custom-tailored per card network, which means you can easily submit the data for the card networks. These reports are generated through our new reporting infrastructure, where reports are requested and created asynchronously.
Once the reports are ready, we will then send you an event notification to notify you of your report being done.
More on the new QSR will be provided by your technical account manager soon.
